For nearly thirty years, The Shepaug Student Project Foundation Inc. (SSPF) strives to help the students of Shepaug Valley Schools pursue their endeavors and turn their vision into reality. It is our mission to provide financial support to assist Shepaug students in pursuing a project that represents their interests and their passion. The Senior Project is a graduation requirement for all Shepaug seniors, and it is our goal that every student undertakes a project of their choice and vision. When finances get in the way of vision, our mission begins.
"Passion is something that is often coupled with success and drive. Senior project allows you to experience a year of furthering your interests and learning outside of books and the formal education system. The skills gained through senior project are everlasting and are without a doubt carried out to real world experiences".

Classmates John and Gabe decided to combine their interest in math and science and build a hovercraft for their Shepaug Senior Project. Nearing completion, their craft successfully lifted from the ground and sprung to life. Disappointingly, without the resource for a tail and rudder their craft aimlessly spun in circles.
